Fundamentals / Observational DrawingThe Art Institute of California San Francisco
Instructor for a beginning drawing class. Course involves the observation
and translation of three-dimensional form into two-dimensional drawings.
Students build skills in composition, line quality, value, and human anatomy.

Drawing and Anatomy, The Art Institute of California San Francisco
Instructor for an introductory anatomy for artists course. Students focus on rendering
life forms in space, emphasizing basic anatomical structures of human and animal forms.

Life Drawing and Gesture, The Art Institute of California San Francisco
Instructor for a continued introductory course. The course focuses on an interpretation
of the human body, based on major masses organized by gestural line.
Emphasis is on line of action, gesture, motion, measurement, and foreshortening.

Instructor for a beginning painting class. Using watercolor, gouche, acrylic, and mixed
media both content and process are explored. Assignments on contemporary and master
paintings as well as painting for traditional animation are covered.

maintaining artistic and academic standards in the life drawing courses, and awarding prizes to graduating

secondary institutions. Duties include: reviewing curricula, evaluating
student work, and initiating and maintaining relationships with schools

related careers.

Instructor for an intense studio drawing course focusing on breaking
down forms for animation. Students learn to draw the gesture and
movements of humans and animals.

Running an outdoor figure drawing workshop for potential students as part
of the Institute¹s "Open House" series. The focus and accompanying
exercises are created and carried out by the instructor.

Graduate Student Instructor for a conceptually based foundation art class. An autonomous teaching
situation where the syllabus, all exercises, and teaching responsibilities are
created and carried out by the Graduate Student Instructor. Basic premise
of class: to guide students through three projects, suggesting materials
and media to best communicate their ideas.

Teacher's Assistant for an introductory level oil painting class. Duties included, facilitating students'
progress by engaging with them on a one on one basis, teaching the class in
professor's absence, giving slide lectures, and demonstrating painting
